SBIR/STTR National Conference 2012

Posted by Mike Anderson on Thu, Nov 29, 2012 @ 09:05 AM

ReliAscent recently attended, exhibited and presented at the National SBIR/STTR conference in Portland, OR.  One of the most valuable things for small businesses was the One-on-One sessions with SBIR Federal Agency Managers and the Speed Networking with the same individuals.  For those of you that weren't able to attend, you should strongly consider attending this conference next year; just for this opportunity.  You can discuss the agency needs, how it aligns with your capabilities, the specifics of how to best find partners and how to apply for these grants and awards.

At any conference, one of the biggest benefits to me is to network and meet different people.  Not only will you find people in similar situations to your own, but you find people that you may be able to partner with in the future.  I met one of those companies and individuals in Joe Sillay of Federal National Commercial Credit.  Joe’s company provides financing to small businesses that are Federal Contractors and fills the unique niche where a company cannot obtain traditional bank financing and may not be in a position to obtain Angel or Venture funding either.

Take a look at the video of Joe and I talking at the conference to see a little more about his services.  I would be happy to discuss this and other types of financing options with you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
