Russ has over 30 years’ experience with small business government contractors as a: i) CEO, ii) coach/mentor to In 1988 Russ founded a company (formerly PBC Inc., now ReliAscent LLC) that now has worked with over 500 clients throughout the United States. ReliAscent focuses on creating successful businesses using the SBIR program and other sources of Government funding as a source of capital for the growth and success of the business. Russ is a published author on “Allowability of Patent Costs for Small Business Government Contractors.” Since 1988, Russ has been Executive V-P and former CFO for ADA Technologies, Inc., one of the most successful Colorado companies participating in the SBIR program and in October of 2000 he became a principal owner, EVP and Chairman of the Board. ADA Continues to be heavily involved in the SBIR program and has established seven successful commercial entities utilizing technologies developed with SBIR and other Government and non-government funding. Russ’ prior experience includes six years as CFO and financial V-P for CTA, Inc. (a systems engineering company that grew from 30 employees to over 700 during his tenure), six years as corporate controller for Hathaway Instruments, Inc. (a publicly held electronic manufacturing company), and four years as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a former CPA in the state of Colorado, holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from University of Colorado, and holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Business Administration from University of Northern Colorado. |
