Russ Farmer assumes SBTC/NDIA Chair of DCAA/DCMA Committee

The National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) has just announced a new sub-committee to focus on resolving issues impacting small business DoD contractors.  The primary purpose of the sub-committee is to work for cooperative resolution to issues with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and/or the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).  These issues will be openly discussed between the sub-committee and the DCAA and/or the DCMA.  The goal will be to reach resolution of the issues in a way that will be in the best interest of the Department of Defense as well as serving the industrial base.  This sub-committee will be headed by Russ Farmer, Manager and COO of ReliAscent LLC.  The sub-committee will be comprised of members from the NDIA and the Small Business Technology Council (SBTC) members. 

Russ will be looking for input from the NDIA and the SBTC members for issues that are of concern to small business.   He will work the issues in the sub-committee and with either the DCAA or DCMA as applicable.  Russ will report the status and progress to the Small Business committee of the NDIA.  I would encourage ReliAscent clients to bring open concerns to Russ's attention if you have concerns related to how the DoD relates to the Small Business community.  Russ can see if those issues might be solved by working with the DCAA or the DCMA and then work to resolve those issues.  This is a chance for ReliAscent clients to have a voice with their customer in a way that will only help them but without risk to the small business.  We encourage you to contact us if you have concerns.  Please don't be afraid to contact me and I can put you in touch with Russ.
