Upcoming National SBIR/STTR Conference in Washington DC - May 23 - 25

ReliAscent would like to remind our clients and all contractors that this year's National SBIR/STTR Conference will be held in Washington, DC, on May 23-25.

Why is this annual conference so important for Small Businesses?

1) The SBIR/STTR program is the nation's largest source of early stage / high risk R&D funding for small business, and at the conference, contractors learn how to participate and compete for funding in both programs.

2) This is also an extremely valuable opportunity for contractors to meet with important contacts in each Government Agency which they would be submitting proposals to. Small Business can meet one-on-one with SBIR/STTR program managers and staff, learn how to access SBIR/STTR programs, build partnerships, and apply for funding for their technologies (and there will be dozens of Federal SBIR program decision-makers participating in these one-on-one meetings with conference attendees).

3) ReliAscent's own Russ Farmer will be a panelist and moderator on two very important panel discussions:

Tuesday, May 24 10:30-11:30 – Fraud, Waste and Abuse – Focus: ​Trends in Fraud, Waste, and Abuse in the SBIR/STTR Programs, as well as providing guidance on how small businesses can avoid pitfalls. Russ Farmer will be a panelist on this discussion.

Tuesday, May 24 2:00 – 3:00 – The Auditors are Coming: DCAA and NIH/DFAS  -- What to expect from auditors of the two largest SBIR/STTR Agencies including recent updates and changes you will want to know about. Russ Farmer will be the moderator for this panel discussion.
